Residential
The Caring Community proudly operates nineteen Community Living Arrangements commonly known as group homes and two Continuous Residential Supports apartments providing 24-hour support. Each residence is thoughtfully designed to promote independence, dignity, and a genuine sense of belonging.
We also offer Individualized Home Supports, empowering individuals who reside in their own apartments with personalized guidance and support as needed to help them live safely and successfully.
In partnership with the Connecticut Developmental Services formerly known as DDS, our agency continues to develop innovative residential programs that address both the behavioral and medical needs of the individuals we serve.

Day Services
The Caring Community offers a variety of day programs that empower adults with disabilities to strengthen their abilities, build self-reliance, and develop essential skills for everyday life.
At Fotheringhay Farms, participants gain hands-on experience in gardening, greenhouse work, and animal care, cultivating both practical and personal growth. Our Maintenance Work Crews provide meaningful employment opportunities in a structured, supportive environment, while Community Experience Programs and Opportunities for Older Adults encourage creativity, wellness, and community involvement through art, cooking, recreation, and volunteer activities.
We also operate an Adult Learning Center in Colchester, CT, where younger adults receive individualized support to enhance daily living, social, and vocational skills—fostering greater independence and confidence in their communities.
